My Happy Bird Moment!
The Best Tweet
Arnab Goswami, Managing Director of the news channel Republic TV, read my tweet on the topic #EndCastePolitics during the live TV debate on Jan 2, 2018.
I had tweeted my views on the sensitive topic of riots that took place on that day and felt great when Arnab said it is the best tweet on the topic. Take a listen @3:14 in the below video excerpt.

Tweets Don't Lie!
Before the 2016 US Presidential elections, I did a sentiment analysis on tweets for 'Donal Trump India' and 'Hillary Clinton India' and was quite surprised to see a higher positive sentiment score for Trump ... Due to my bias towards Hillary, I did the analysis a few times and each time the result was the same - higher positive score towards Trump... So, I was Not that surprised by the actual results of the elections despite what the polls had predicted...

Options Trading
After trying several different trading strategies I realised options trading suited me most.
As an intraday trader, I would spend hours staring at the price action candlesticks of my favourite stocks making modest gains and sometimes getting too carried away to end up in bad trades...
Options trading using Heiken Ashi candles along with a few indicators like RSI helped me formulate a strategy that didn't require following the minute by minute price action.
Trading Discipline!
One of the most important lessons I learned from stock trading is that to be consistently successful requires discipline - you have to follow the rules otherwise you will hit the wall due to the unpredictability of the market.
Depending on the trading style one has to come up with a strategy that should be followed routinely rather than just chasing the market whimsically.
Enter a trade based on your setup and exit as per the strategy. The learning curve can be steep and loses will be incurred but overtime to become a responsible trader one has to come up with a suitable strategy and follow it.
Below are a few rules I follow:
Do Pre-market and post-market analysis
For testing a new methodology make notes before actually applying the strategy
Wait for the right indicators to enter a trade, set the stop-loss and target
Don't be greedy when the trend is in your favour, you can exit partly after the target is achieved
See 10 Golden Rules of Trading Discipline
1. Follow Your Trading Routine
2. Actively Trade the First Three Hours of Each Major Session
3. Don't Forget EOD – End of Day Trading
4. The Market Rewards You for Your Discipline
5. Don't Let a Winner Become a Loser
6. Stick to a Proven Trading Method
7. Don't Chase the Markets
8. You Are a Long Distance Runner
9. It's a Step-by-Step Process
10. Consistency is Confidence

Meet Honey!
Such a sleeping beauty he is! Just hates being photographed ... He is my neighbour's cat who just loves to hang out at my place so much so that he is now a member of my family and I can't think of him as not my own... His favourite pass time is to scare away the pigeons (which is a blessing ) and to chase after stray cats only to be chased back ...
